Pilots performed stunning aerobatics at an air show in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on Friday. The three-day show attracted many international aerobatic teams, whose stunt pilots would dive and turn their modified aircrafts, in Baotou city in the region. Paul Bennet Airshows, an well-known aerobatic team from Australia, won applauds from spectators. Three fixed-wing aircrafts thundered in formation to the 300-meter high altitude, took a left turn and dived. At the altitude of around 100 meters, two of them flew on simultaneously, with the other one rolling around them. "These aerobatic maneuvers, all done at extremely low attitudes, were very spectacular. We chatted about her own experiences of being a flight attendant at Air China. Perhaps the biggest lesson I learned was that apparently management does not fit in enough beds for the crew in order to save weight, therefore many FAs find themselves needing a first class or business bed to get enough rest to deal with the constantly changing time zones. The aircrafts, exposed to greater structural stress than in normal flight, seemed to fall or collide, which created unbelievable scenes for our spectators," said Gao Pengju, narrator of the show. An experience zone was most popular with child spectators. "Teenagers can have a better understanding of planes or aviation theories and knowledge by making models, watching their aerobatic flying, playing virtual reality games and other methods in the experience zone, which will help enlighten those who want to join the aviation industry," said Gao. Static air shows were also on, displaying aircrafts for various purposes, such as for private use, business use, commuting, Research and Development and teaching. China has planned to develop a new generation of rockets that can be released into space from airplanes to replace dysfunctional satellites. The rockets will be designed so that they could carry 200 kg and can rapidly replace dysfunctional satellites, China Daily reported today. Further in cases of disaster relief, the rockets quickly send up Earth observation satellites to assist in the effort, Li Tongyu, the head of carrier rocket development at the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, said. Engineers at the academy that is the main developer of Chinese carrier rockets, have designed a model capable of sending a payload of about 100 kilograms into low Earth orbit, Tongyu said. "The Y-20 strategic transport plane will be the carrier of these rockets. The jet will hold a rocket within its fuselage and release it at a certain altitude. The rocket will be ignited after it leaves the plane," Li was quoted as saying by China Daily. However, large satellites will still have to be put into orbit with conventional rockets, experts said. Delivery of the Y-20 to the Chinese Air Force began in July. It is China's first domestically developed heavy-lift transport plane and has a maximum take-off weight of more than 200 metric tons and a maximum payload of about 66 tons, the Daily quoted aviation experts as saying. Solid-fuel rockets can be launched from planes much faster than land-based liquid-fuelled rockets, where preparation can take days, weeks or longer, in part because it takes so much time to pump in the fuel. Earlier, DARPA has scrapped plans to launch small satellites from a modified F-15 fighter jet after two tests of a new rocket fuel ended in explosions

China may have tested new 400-km range air-to-air missile: Reports China’s air force may have tested a new 400-km range air-to-air missile which could take out high- value targets like early warning and aerial refuelling aircraft, which stay far away from battle zones, state media reported on Wednesday. An image released online by the Chinese Air Force has led to speculation that the military is testing a beyond-visual-range, air-to-air missile in combat drills, according to China Daily. The photo, recently uploaded to the People’s Liberation Army website, shows a J-11B twin-engine fighter jet carrying a large missile – it stretches about one-fourth of the length of the 22-meter-long aircraft – during ‘Red Sword 2016’, an aerial warfare exercise over a northwestern desert in November. Nearly 100 aircraft as well as air defense and electronic countermeasure units from two theater commands participated in the exercise, the Air Force had said. It comes after photographs circulated on weapons websites late last year of a Chinese J-16 strike fighter carrying a nearly identical missile, the report said. A spokesman for the Air Force was unavailable for comment on Wednesday, and no official introduction of the potential new weapon has been disclosed by the PLA or defense contractors. However, its appearance has attracted attention from military enthusiasts, many of whom say such a missile would boost the Air Force’s combat capabilities, it said. Chinese fighter jets currently use the PL-11 and PL-12 missiles to attack long-distance targets, but their maximum ranges are shorter than 100 kilometers. Fu Qianshao, an equipment researcher with the PLA Air Force, said that he believes China has developed a new missile that can hit high-value targets such as early-warning planes and aerial refueling aircraft, which stay far from conflict zones. Most air-to-air missiles in service around the world have a maximum range of around 100 km, while a handful of new types propelled by ramjets can reach 200 km, he said. However, all of them are unsuitable for combating early-warning planes because of their short ranges. Moreover, he added, long-range ground-to-air missiles are restricted by their fixed deployment when dealing with planes far away. “The best solution to this problem I can figure out is to send a super-maneuverable fighter jet with very-long-range missiles to destroy those high-value targets, which are ‘eyes’ of enemy jets,” Fu said. “So the successful development of this potential new missile would be a major breakthrough in the Air Force’s weapons upgrade,” the paper quoted Fu as saying. He said the missile could have a maximum range of 400 km, farther than any air-to-air missiles used by Western air forces. Fu said that based on his experience, an ultralong-range missile would enter the the stratosphere – at an altitude of 20 to 50 km – and continue its flight there until it detects its target and dives to strike. In addition, the missile’s size would enable it to be equipped with a large, cutting-edge guidance radar to detect targets. All of these capabilities would allow it to deal with large planes and stealth jets, Fu said. The US’ longest-range air-to-air missile is the AIM-120D, which has an operational range of up to 200 km. Russia also has the R-37 and K-100 air-to-air missiles, which their designers say have operational ranges of up to 400 km, the report said.

China's first bicycle path in the air, 7.6 kilometers long, started a trial run Thursday in Xiamen, eastern China's Fujian Province. According to Xiamen City Public Bicycle Management, the company that operates the path, the path is open to all kinds of bikes, including public and private bikes, from 06:30 to 22:30 during the month-long trial, in a bid to promote green transport. The path appears as a winding viaduct and is built beneath the city's overhead BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) lanes. The highest section of the bicycle path is five meters above ground. The company said the path was designed to accommodate up to 2,023 bicycles per hour, with a maximum speed of 25 kilometers per hour. It covers the city's five major residential and three business centers. There are 11 entries on the path, which will connect with 11 bus stations and two subway stations. http://www.cctvplus.com/news/20170126/8041742.shtml#!language=1 Subscribe us on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CCTVPlus CCTV+ official website: http://www.cctvplus.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/cctv-news-content Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NewsContent.CCTVPLUS Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTV_Plus

Filmed on Nikon D5500 with Sigma 17-50 f2.8mm lens. Despite the many negative reviews of Air China, I found myself on a comfortable flight with a very attentive and friendly crew. The crew were all smiles. They refilled/offered drinks constantly and addressed each passenger by name. One of the crew saw me taking videos and so she showed me around the business class cabin. This also happened at China Eastern where she worked at for four 4 years before changing airlines. This explains previous flight reports on the internet of passengers complaining about sleeping FAs in the premium cabins. Honestly I felt very bad for them and it really is true not to judge a book by its cover since the situation is outside of their control. The FA also told me that they are definitely aware that they are not as good as Singapore or ANA but Air China is trying to improve its experience. During the dessert service, she actually let me take all 3 different desserts (cake, tiramisu, and fruits) when I couldn't make up my mind. The bed was completely 180 degrees lie flat. I was able to get about 7 good hours of sleep. I have heard about Air China keeping the cabin too warm, but it was actually perfect on this flight. The duvet was large, soft and very comfortable. My experience was definitely helped by the fact that I had a complete row of business class seat available to me. Seat 11A is actually the most private seat because of the way the row of seats are all angled slightly to the right. Therefore 11A is the most forward of all the seats in the nose of the 747-8. Nevertheless, catering still needs substantial improvement. My first meal was fairly tasty. The chicken was spicy and fragrant but the presentation didn't look too great. My pre-arrival "chicken" noodle soup was absolutely tasteless even though it looked not that bad. If they can change their business class seats to 1x2x1 rather than 2x2x2 and substantially improve their meals, I would definitely look forward to flying them again.

An aviation review at the end of the year is almost one of my traditions. It` s the fourth time I sumed up the most interesting aviation clips of the year in a singe video. I made these clips at various airports, like Düsseldorf, Maastricht, St. Martin, St. Barth, Amsterdam, Liege, Cologne and more. I tried to show you an insterestig diversity of planes, by including most aircraft producers, like Boeing, Airbus, Antonov, Embraer, Tupolev, Lockheed or Bombardier. Featured planes: 1.)
